Solar I-Beam Clip
Pull utility-scale solar cabling with ease.
When long stretches of electrical wire are pulled over I-beams – the support structure of a utility-scale solar system – abrasion to the wire’s insulation can be significant.
Of the few “temporary” products attempting to solve this problem, it took the industry stewards at HellermannTyton to develop a true solution – a single part that’s easy to mount onto the structure, safe on wires and won’t fail in the middle of the job.

Easy to mount
With so many I-beams on a solar farm, we set out to make our solution easy to mount quickly and securely.
No assembly and no tools are required for installation. The Solar I-Beam Clip can be top loaded or rolled into position. Flexible installation is essential when the tracker system and panels are installed, leaving little space between the beam and torque tube.
The clip accommodates cross beam thicknesses from ¼ to ½”.
Safe on wires
A solar installer pulls cabling over a large number of I-beams before reaching the end of a run. With each contact point, the pull resistance increases over those jagged edges.
The Solar I-Beam Clip features a smooth, rounded “cradle” for the wires to glide over. Even the cradle arms are snag free.
Keeps performing no matter what
As hundreds of feet of wire pass over the Solar I-Beam Clip, its extended width prevents it from “wobbling” free from the post, and its design ensures it doesn’t flip forward. That’s a critical benefit, since the more time you save at installation, the sooner you are up and running.
The cradle space can accommodate a 2-inch bundle. An integrated cable tie saddle enables installers to cinch down the bundle for aesthetics and protection against wind after the cable pull is complete.
