For example, each of our revolutionary Ratchet P-Clamps replaces several standard P-clamps and brackets. Metal parts are traditionally specified because metal is equated with durability. In most cases, our nylon solutions (conduit and clamps, for example) are engineered to offer comparable durability with reduced weight and cost. Reduced weight contributes to fuel or electrical savings.
We make installation simpler and faster with rail industry-specific engineering. Nylon conduit fittings with nickel plated brass swivel threads snap on quickly, reducing labor time and costs. Ratchet P-Clamps eliminate extra mounting hardware, and they are easily serviceable to reduce operational downtime.
Conduit and fittings are designed to withstand punishing vibration and impact, ensuring reliable ingress protection and safety. Even relatively simple products, like our cable ties and mounts, beat performance expectations under harsh environments and deliver long-term reliability not seen with most competitive solutions.
Special Ratchet P-Clamp to the rescue
The London Underground had a unique challenge. They needed to replace an expensive and heavy metal P-Clamp. Personnel must carry the parts through miles of London Underground tunnels in backpacks. The challenge: to have a lightweight part that’s strong enough for the application and passes rigorous vibration tests. Our Milwaukee material specialists made it happen, using our exclusive Ratchet P-Clamp and a new nylon formulation that is NFPA 130 and EN45545-2 compliant.
