HellermannTyton’s entire line of wiring duct is certified as recyclable. What does this mean to you?
Companies that use wiring duct, such as OEMs and electrical panel makers, purchase the product in lengths that are later cut to size for a particular application. Typically, this results in leftover duct segments that are discarded. Depending on the production scale, this waste can be significant.
If the remaining scraps are marked with a recycling symbol, recyclers will accept them. If not, they end up in the landfill. That’s why all HellermannTyton duct is marked with the code “3” (PVC) recycling stamp.
Installers influence many of our most important details. The punch module on our coining plates rounds off the sharp edges inside the duct fingers on our slotted and high-density products. No more scraped knuckles. Finger break-off is consistent across the full length, leaving a clean edge wherever one is created. HellermannTyton’s duct delivers great resistance to elevated temperatures.
Use the high-density duct, with a 2-to-1 finger ratio compared to standard duct, to reduce fanning of the wires to the terminal blocks, creating a neater appearance. Use solid wall wiring duct for straight wire runs where break-outs are not required.
HellermannTyton specifies the duct’s exterior measurements rather than interior dimensions. We believe our customers choose duct size according to available space inside their control panels. Other ducts are often sized according to the duct’s interior measurements, which means the duct’s physical size is actually larger – an unpleasant surprise when fitting it into the application.
We manufacture solid, standard slotted and high-density slotted duct in a range of sizes, with or without adhesive, to accommodate every application. Choose a color – white, gray, intrinsic blue or flame-retardant black PVC – and add an optional corresponding cover for even greater protection.
Rounding out the duct portfolio are duct dividers used to separate high and low voltage and reduce interference, mounts, connectors and installation tools.
Our duct products are part of a vast collection of routing, protection and insulation solutions designed to provide long-term service, reliability and value.
