Wedge Clip
High Performance Edge Clip Routes Heavier Wire and Cable Bundles
Routing large wire and cable bundles or hoses along frame edges or rails can be difficult. The heavier the load, the bulkier the solution – or worse, a destructive mount that requires drilling.
Wedge Clip responds to these shortcomings in a simple, powerful solution. The clip achieves high extraction force using an integrated wedge mechanism that slides along an internal stepped incline until snug against the mounting surface.
The friction-lock design delivers an extreme-duty fastening solution that’s quick and easy to use.
Double-Grip Technology
HellermannTyton is the wire fastening leader, so the Wedge Clip must perform in the most demanding applications. That’s why we designed it with twice the gripping force.
Inside the clip is a 3M™ VHB™ (Very High Bond) adhesive pad. This enables installers to place the Wedge Clip into position without worrying about it moving or falling off prior to fastening. The adhesive, according to 3M, creates a virtually indestructible “weld.” But that’s just the beginning.
The wedge mechanism provides constant force on both sides of the mounting surface. Once it is closed, the wedge will not back out. This vice-like compression results in incredible extraction force without the need to drill holes in the work surface.

Clearly, this is no ordinary edge clip. Just three Wedge Clip sizes can accommodate material thicknesses up to 0.51 inch (13 mm). Each features an adjustable range:

Wedge Clip Instructions
1. Thoroughly clean surface using a 50/50 mix of isopropanol and water for best results, as commercial cleaners may leave residue.
2. Peel off adhesive liner.
3. Move Wedge Clip into position, avoiding contact with adhesive. When satisfied with location, press adhesive pad firmly against work surface.
4. Using your hand or an adjustable pliers (e.g. CHANNELLOCK®), guide the wedge inward until secure – taking care not to over-torque the clip and distort its shape.
5. Apply cable tie to any of the three 4-way saddles using an EVO® 7 or EVO 9 tension and cutoff tool.
